We'll check page dimensions, detect test squares, and verify the PDF is at correct scale.
Page dimensions:Verifies that the PDF pages are standard Letter (8.5 × 11") or A4 (210 × 297 mm). Non-standard page sizes can cause scaling issues when printing.
Page consistency: Checks if all pages are the same size. Instruction or cover pages at different sizes are flagged so you can exclude them from tiling.
Test square detection:Scans the first few pages for rectangles that match common test square sizes (1", 2", 1 cm, 5 cm). If found, tells you exactly what it should measure after printing.
This tool checks the PDF file itself — it cannot check what your printer does to the file. The most common scale error (printing at 97% because of "fit to page") happens at print time, not in the PDF. Always verify with a physical measurement after printing.
Test square detection looks for simple rectangle shapes at standard sizes. Hand-drawn squares, squares with labels overlapping the edges, or squares drawn as four separate lines may not be detected.
Measure the test square on your printed pattern and get the correct reprint percentage.
